C.S.I. Ewart women’s Christian College organized Orientation Programme for Fresher's at the College Auditorium from 3rd July 2017 to 7th July 2017. The major objective of the programme was to make the parents and students aware of the academic aspects of the course, the rules and the regulations of the college and ensuring parental participation in monitoring the performance and progress of the students.
On 3rd July 2017, the programme started with prayer by our College Chaplain Rev. Stella Richardson, and then our College Principal Dr. Marthal Nalini addressed the students and parents.
On 4th July 2017, Dr. Rennet Samson,M.A.,M.Phil., Ph.D., Associate Professor, Department of English, Ethiraj College for Women took the first session on the topic “Bridge Course” for the students. Same day, Selvi. M. Lathakumari, Assistant Professor, Department of English, Ethiraj College for Women took the second session on the topic “wow English” to the students.
On 5th July 2017, Dr. Shirmila, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, Madras Christian College took the first session on the topic “Motivation” to the students. She also motivated the students by sharing ideas like leadership, motivating steps, time management, and desires. Then the second session of the day was handled by various Unit Heads of our College.
On the 6th July 2017, Mr. Kishore Srinivasan from Ripe Academy took the first session on the topic “Personality Development”. He gave some tips on attitude, dress code, boldness, and the importance of English language. On the same day, Mrs. Arokiya, Assistant Professor, Department of History, Tourism and Travel Management, Ethiraj College for Women took the second session on the topic “Women through the ages in the context of education”. She spoke about the status of women from ancient to modern period. She also projected the images of historical women achievers.
On 7th July 2017, Dr. Samuel Sukumar, Principal , St. Thomas College & former Associate Professor, Department of Zoology, Madras Christian College, addressed on the topic “Communication” to the students.The orientation programme came to an end successfully on 7th July 2017 with a food sale.
