The TIARA ’24 Cultural Fest , held on February 16th and 17th, 2024, was a vibrant blend of intra- and intercollegiate festivities. Opening on the 16th, the cultural extravaganza saw esteemed guests Rohith, a renowned film artist, Arun Aravind, a prominent media artist, and Dr. Thabitha Durai, Dean of R&D at Madras Christian College, graced the occasion with their presence and insights during the inaugural address. A plethora of competitions ranging from mime, reels, news reporting, innovative painting, caption writing, bridal makeup, group singing, to solo performances were conducted, with judges offering constructive feedback and encouragement to the participating students.
The excitement continued on the following day with a lineup of events including group dances, fashion parades, and a variety of talent showcases, some of which were open to participants from other colleges. Concluding the festivities, Mr. George Vijay Nelson, a distinguished film artist, delivered the valedictory address and felicitated the winners with their well-deserved prizes. The Department of English clinched the prestigious overall trophy for their outstanding performance in the intercollegiate competitions.
The cultural fest was met with enthusiastic participation and appreciation from the students, making it a resounding success and a memorable experience for all involved.
